This tasting is a teaser for the wine trip we are running in September with DCanter! It will be a seven-day tour of the historical and culinary delights of these regions. We'll journey from the foothills of the Alps to the shore of the Adriatic, through five unique wine regions, and get a behind-the-scenes look at a robust wine culture. Get more info here. From our US base, we organize private Hungarian wine tastings and wine education sessions in the Washington Metropolitan area. We are open for any type of event that features our Hungarian wine ... here are a few ideas!

Jewish History in the Tokaj Wine Region

Hill Havurah, Washington DC
Gábor discussed the long, and tragic, history of Jewish winemakers and merchants in the Tokaj region. They helped spread Tokaj wine around the world and played a major role in making it famous. There was a tasting of a few dry and sweet wines from Tokaj.
