Wine Club Membership
As a member you’ll get a mixed box of six wines shipped to you every three months. Each shipment comes with our educational packet, which includes tasting notes, information about the regions, a recipe, and other information to help you learn about the wines, varietals, and regions. We hope the wine inspires you to travel to Hungary to taste it (and other wines) from the source! As a club member you will be our guest at a wine tasting at The Tasting Table, our wine tasting cellar in Budapest.
We’ve been active in wine for the past decade in Hungary. We spend lots of time researching and, organizing tours, running tastings, and selling wine at The Tasting Table Budapest. During this time we’ve met with so many small wine producers who sell affordable, unique, and high-quality wines, and we will continue to do so! We choose the wines that we import together with our team of sommeliers in Budapest.
There are no membership fees, and no commitment. When you sign up for a membership we will continue to send you a box of six wines every three months until you cancel your membership. Your credit card will be charged automatically four times per year, a few weeks before each shipment. You can cancel at any time before the next charge to discontinue your membership.
Purchasing through our site is done safely and securely using Stipe, an accredited third-party financial institution which handles the processing through their own protected servers. Wine Club memberships are charged on a quarterly basis on the first day of the months of March, June, September, and December.
6-bottle membership: ($139 + 10.25 percent sales tax + applicable shipping)
Magnum (12-bottle) membership: ($278 + 10.25 percent sales tax + applicable shipping)
By clicking the “I have read and agree” button on the bottom of the order form, you give Tasting Table LLC the right to charge the credit card number you provided. On your credit card statement the charge will appear as from “Tasting Table Budapest LLC.”
You can cancel your membership, and the next shipment, at any time before you are billed for it (which is the 1st day of the shipping months of September, December, March, and June). To cancel, just send an email to wineclub@tastehungary.com or login to your account to make the cancellation.
Wine Shipping and Delivery
Alcohol shipping laws in the US are complicated, so unfortunately we can’t ship to every state. Prices vary by state, and we use ground service. Please see our shipping costs here.
Alcohol Shipping is regulated by each individual state, and online retailers/importers can’t ship to all of the states which wineries might be permitted to. If you want to have wine shipped to a state not on the list, please get in touch and we’ll try to find a solution! If we don’t ship to your state, you can consider sending the wine to an address in another state, or buying it as a gift to someone in a different state who could get it to you.
Wine Club orders will be sent out in the first two weeks of every third month (March, June, September, and December). If you join the club as a new member with a few weeks of the shipping of the current collection we will contact you to discuss which collection you’d like to start with. Shipments may take between one and ten business days to arrive, depending on your state.
You must be 21 or older to place an order for wine. Since wine is a controlled alcoholic beverage It is required by law that someone over the age of 21 is there to also sign for the wine. Please have your identification handy, as you may be asked for it!
Since we are a small company, we generally only ship wines out once a week. If you would like your wines shipped by a certain date, please let us know and we’ll do our best to make it happen! We cannot guarantee delivery dates. We use UPS ground service, so the wine could be in transit from between one and seven business days. You’ll get an email notification with your tracking number and expected delivery date once your order has been processed.
You’ll get a UPS tracking code as soon as it’s available. UPS generally makes three delivery attempts. They’ll leave a notification if a delivery was attempted unsuccessfully. Since they require the signature of someone over 21 for alcohol, the package cannot be left without a signature if you are not at home. If you get a notification and you still can’t be available for delivery the next day, you can contact the UPS to arrange pickup at a UPS location. If you plan to be on vacation or otherwise unable to accept your delivery, please contact us in advance so we can hold it until you are ready. If your package is returned to us, an additional charge may be applicable to re-deliver your order. UPS will make three delivery attempts.
Since UPS generally delivers during working hours (until 5pm), it could be convenient to use your work address for deliver. However, we are not allowed to ship to DC government or federal buildings.

Wine Ordering
We can try! If you like a wine or have a producer who you’d like to see us import to the US, let us know and we can try to add these wines to our next import.
Absolutely! If you love a wine that was included with your club shipment, send us an email at wineclub@tastehungary.com and we’ll set up the order for you.
Yes! You can either purchase a club membership or you can a make a one-time purchase of a 6-pack, and we’ll send it to your recipient. During the checkout process simply make a note that this is a gift in the “delivery notes and instructions” field, and let us know if there is a special message you’d like us to include on a personalized note in the box. Your recipient will receive the first shipment at the time of the next automated club shipment following their enrollment.
Returns
We cannot accept returns, unless the wine was defective. If your wine was corked or otherwise defective, we are happy to send you a replacement bottle. In this case, please contact us within 60 days of the purchase and we’ll make arrangements.
In the rare case that your package is damaged, please let us know within three days of delivery so we can make arrangements to send you replacements.
